使役動詞

S+ 使役動詞 (make/have/let/get/help) +O (N.) + OC (Vr / Vpp/ Ving) |
1. get 雖然列在使役動詞之中，但特別的是get 的後面要加的是「不定詞(to + VR)」
Nancy got her sister to sew(縫製) her a dress.
南茜說服她的姊姊為她縫製一件洋裝。
Annie made her boyfriend cut his hair. 安妮使她的男朋友剪頭髮。
The teacher had the school call the student’s parents. 老師要求學校打電話給學生的家長。
Jack let his friend borrow his car. 傑克允許他的朋友借他的車。
2.變成被動式
He made me work hard. ➡ I was made to work hard. (他逼迫我認真工作/我被逼迫認真工作)
I wasn’t let to enter the restricted area at that time. (那個時候我不被允許進入限制區域)
You should either have your broken glasses fixed or buy a new pair.
The teacher thought they should let their students' opinions be heard.
老師們認為他們應該讓學生們的意見被聽見（被動：意見被聽見）
3. 主詞 + help +(O) + (to) Vr
4. 主詞 + call / elect /appoint/consider+ O+ OC(n.)
使呈現某種狀態

(1).+(adj.) 表示「狀態或處於…情況下」
The hard work kept Judy busy all day long. 艱難工作使judy一整天處於忙碌狀態
When she went home, she found her house empty.

make it short. 請快點說
(2).+Ving 表示「動作正在進行或為主動」
found a stranger lying on the bed. 發現一名陌生人躺在床上
The first step to train the dog is to keep the dog waiting for food. 訓練狗狗第一步是讓狗狗等待食物
(3).+Vpp 表示「被動」
The window is too strong. Please keep the door closed. 請將門關上
I leave the window opened.
The careless woman left the door unlocked. 那個粗心的母親為將門鎖上(使門鎖上)
(4).+時間 表示「狀態處於時間或地點」
Judy kept the money in the cabinet. 把錢放在櫃子裡
(5).變成被動式
The data must be kept confidential as they contain very important secrets.
